Pliant Technology has an immediate need for an ASIC Engineer Lead/Manager. You need to be hands-on with the team, leading them to success. Highly involved with the process and experience in the past with completing and leading projects. This position will work closely with Pliant System Architects, Lead ASIC Engineers, third party Design Engineers and the ASIC vendor to delivery cutting edge technology which will set new standards for performance and reliability in solid state data storage.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience as an ASIC design engineer with multiple designs successfully delivered
- Successful completion of one or more complex designs using Verilog RT
- Full-Chip RTL-to-Gate Synthesis project(s) with multiple clocks running up to 667 Mhz
- Thorough working knowledge of Synopsys EDA tools including Design Compiler, Primetime and Formality
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver on schedule and to specification
- ARM processors systems (AHB / APB Bus interfaces)
- System on a Chip architecture, Multiple embedded processor designs, Flash Memory
- Laboratory bring up and debug methodologies and equipment (e.g. oscillisopes, logic analyzers)
- Hi-speed data interfaces (e.g. 8b/10b SERDES, SAS, SATA, DDR2 controller design)

Customer Support Representative
Pliant is in need of a customer support representative to work with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure order fulfillment. This role will work in tandem with many areas of the company to help with customer satisfaction and to ensure that orders and requests are handled accurately and timely.

Responsibilities
- Provide support for target accounts from prospect through qualification phases

This position will design, implement and unit test embedded firmware for Pliant EFD solid-state storage products. Responsibilities include translating high level requirements and specifications into implementation plans, coding in C++ and assembly, system analysis, characterization and debug along with SMART and other performance monitoring functions. Experience with development of SAS storage products preferred. Must have working knowledge of SCSI/SAS. Applicant must be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as part of a distributed collaborative development team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for validating our EFDs. Using their QA expertise, script writing skills and knowledge of black box, white box testing, this candidate will design, implement and execute both automated and manual tests. The successful candidate will work with members of the Quality Assurance, Program Managers, Development and Customer Support teams.

- Have experience setting up systems in lab, work with different drivers, tools for testing
- Expert level QA automation skills using Perl, C, Shell and internally developed tools
- Expert level understanding on SQL and able to write complex queries
- Direct experience on Windows, Linux and Solaris platforms

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our exciting start-up environment. This person must have 7-10 years of experience and must be from the storage industry. Pliant's product is an enterprise flash drive so someone with disk drive product expertise is necessary.
You will be developing corporate quality processes and procedures consistent with ISO 9000 Scheme. You will be the technical resource for complaint to worldwide environmental policies. This role drives the defining product lifecycle complain to the policy. You will be conducting and reviewing final product quality audits as necessary. Driving corrective action processes and coordinating multidiscipline quality activities will also be part of your role. This role will work closely with operations quality establishing process and criteria for supplier and contract manufacturer.

Pliant is in need of a fast-moving, flexible Supply Chain Manager. You must have a hard drive storage background and be able to move quickly in an ever changing-start-up environment. Being able to implement order and create organization is also important.
You will be responsible for the sustaining and new product supply chain. This includes material and process quoting, sourcing, PO management, delivery schedules, cost management, expedite activity and over all vendor communications.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree required. Business, Industrial Engineering preferred
- 10 yrs + experience in high volume, high tech supply chain operations
- New product introduction experience a plus
- ERP and Microsoft Office skills required. Oracle/SAP experience a plus

Knowledge of hardware, firmware and software processes important. Good communication skills necessary to be able to interface with Executive Management as well as Top Tier OEM's. Experience growing a team with an expanding product.
